October 2024 Small Cap IPO Market Roundup: Increased Activity and Deal Insights

For the first time since December 2022, the small-cap initial public offering (IPO) market is showing promising signs of growth. After a challenging period, the uptick in completed IPOs is a welcome change. This October, we saw a significant increase in small-cap IPOs, with 19 deals under $25 million completed compared to 12 in September, 8 in August, and only 3 back in June. For now, we're focusing on deals under $25 million, though we’ll include deals up to $50 million in future updates as market conditions improve.

Small-cap IPOs serve as a critical component of market diversity, allowing emerging companies to access capital while providing investors with unique growth opportunities. This roundup provides key insights into the companies that completed IPOs, their offer amounts, whether they are domestic or foreign issuers, and the investment banks leading each transaction.

Key Highlights from October’s Small Cap IPOs:

  • Deal Volume: 19 small-cap IPOs were completed in October, marking a noticeable increase from previous months.

  • Foreign Issuers Dominate: The majority of these IPOs were from foreign issuers, indicating robust international interest in the U.S. public markets.

  • Investment Banks: US Tiger Securities, Revere Securities, and Dominari Securities were among the most active underwriters, with many deals listing on the Nasdaq Capital Market.
